Swami Samarth always mutters mystic ‘Mantras’ or words that very few could understand. He expressed oneness with all creations. The splendor of Shri Swami Samarth and his glorious mission became more fully manifest, after his arrival in town of Akkalkot in Maharashtra. Sri Swami stayed in Akkalkot, for 22 years till his Mahasamadhi, showing the common man the path to the God. Swami Samarth is known to have performed several miracles for his devotees.
The Swami himself said that he came from the Kardali forest. Occasionally he said he is a Shukla Yajurvedi kanva shakha brahmin. He stayed at Ganagapura, Karnataka for a long time where he delivered the Nirguna Padukas to his disciples and devotees before leaving for the Kardali forest. It is popularly believed that his predecessor Shri Narasimha Swami went to Kardali and entered samadhi.
